Tea Party Terrorists

Rasmussen recently conducted a new telephone survey , which included 1,000 likely voters.  The survey asked questions ranging from nuclear weapons, to who is considered the nation’s top terrorist threat.

Twenty-six percent of those who approve of Obama’s performance believe that the Tea Party is the biggest terror threat to the US. This is compared to the likely voters of whom thirteen percent believe the same.  Among those who approve of Obama’s job performance, just twenty-nine percent see ‘radical’ Muslims as the bigger threat. Among those who strongly approve of Obama, more fear the Tea Party than radical Muslims.

Among those who earn six-figures, twenty-one percent believe the Tea Party a bigger threat than the Occupy Wall street Movement.  Interesting, since the Occupiers were targeting the rich, only two percent of those earning six-figures or more say the Occupy movement is a bigger threat.  Of those earning $30,000.00 or less, twelve percent say the Tea Party is a bigger threat compared to seven percent says the same of the Occupy Movement.  Of Government employees, twenty percent see the Tea Party as a threat while twelve percent of private sector employees believe the same.

I may not be an official member of the Tea Party, but I do consider myself a strong supporter of them and other like-minded groups. I share all the same concerns as many of the people who are members.  I have many friends who are Tea Party members in different states.  Do I feel threatened by them more than so called radical Muslims? No way!  Knowing what I have learned in my past 15 or so years of studying Islam, I know that it is complete ignorance on the parts of those who do view the Tea Party as a bigger threat.  Seeing the rude, outrageous, hypocritical, and disgusting behaviors of many of the Wall Street Occupiers in various cities a few summers ago, I know it is ignorance on the part of those who believe the Tea Party is more dangerous.

The literal meaning of ignorance is “lack of knowledge or information”.  Obviously, based on the variety of people answering the pollster questions, ignorance knows no social or economic boundaries.  Perhaps it’s because of the way people get their information.  Considering the main stream news sources, most of these folks I would dare say watch mainly MSNBC or the other alphabet stations.  Obvious also is the fact that those who believe Obama is doing a good job, these folks must be democrats.  How has the mainstream media portrayed the Tea Party? How have democrats and democrat politicians viewed the Tea Party?

We’ve been called racist by liberals of all shades of skin tones–but are we racist? Liberal groups have tried to paint us as such, but are we?  How is it possible that democrats and progressives can turn what Black Conservatives say into something that they portray as naïve, meaning that black folks aren’t educated enough to think for themselves, yet we’re the racist ones?

We’ve been called violent and hateful. Interesting though, considering the sources. Again, we’re being called the hateful ones by folks like these, and these and these. And then there are these and these. And there are these, who actually spoke the same day at the same rally as Obama.  And still we are told to go to hell from those who are supposed to represent all the people.

What about the media? What are they telling their viewers about the Tea Party other than the same mantra, that we’re gun toting racists bent on violence?

The left has been painting the Tea Party as terrorists for a few years now, so it’s not surprising that many people who only watch MSNBC and listen to progressives would eventually believe it.  But who is the Tea Party?   The Tea Party is the military veteran, who’s tired of an ever-growing far reaching government.  It’s the college kids who don’t want to see the freedoms their grandparents had being taken from them.  It’s the mom of an ill child who knows that the government has no business meddling with health insurance. It’s the family down the road who are sick of working hard, only to see more and more of their hard earned money being taken by the government to waste. It’s the grandparents who don’t want to see their grandkids having to pay trillions of dollars in debt because of irresponsible out of touch government spending.  They are your neighbor, your friends, and your coworkers. Those who want to work to provide a life for their families, without the government taking what they work hard for to give it to someone who won’t work. It’s every day Americans of all walks of life, from all ethnicities, all races, and all social and economic levels who want to return to the original intent of our founder’s ideas of government and a return to respect given to the Constitution.

Obama once said, “But we can’t expect to solve our problems if all we do is tear each other down. You can disagree with a certain policy without demonizing the person who espouses it. You can question somebody’s views and their judgment without questioning their motives or their patriotism.”

Sounds good doesn’t it?  Too bad though that he has also said, “They’re going to try to scare people. They’re going to try to say that ‘that Obama is a scary guy’ … Don’t give in…I won’t but that sounded pretty scary. You’re a tough guy, if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun…”

So, are we terrorists to be feared more than militant Muslims?   I think Joe Wilson explains it best, reminding who real terrorists are:

We need to take the narrative back, folks, and start shining the light on the ignorance and hypocrisy of the progressive Left and telling people what it’s really all about:  government-contolled propaganda that is intentionally painting a huge portion of the American citizenry as something they are not and never will be.

  1. toongoon says:

We’ve got RINO’s, they’ve got HYPO’s (hypocrites). I know, sames species of politicians..

  2. Wolfie says:

Great article!! Now forgive me, I’m running off, I’m just leaving my Tea Party gathering to rush off to my weekly cross burning. ;-)

  3. FLChristyB says:

Maybe when they think ‘threat’ they think that the Tea Party is more likely to rise up and effect change that would go against their Socialist beliefs?

And the percentage of people as a whole cannot be that large since the survey stated that only 26% of those who support Obama think the Tea Party is a threat, but, how many supporters does he actually have left??

    • leefromok says:

It looks like the survey failed to include the zombies.
Not only are they a large voting block, but they can apparently vote multiple times. Some may be “ghosts in the machine”. How else would you explain all the votes being changed.
And, he apparently has the support of most of the Hollywood cartoon characters (no offence to toongoon and AmericanborninCanada).

  4. PJRodman says:

Great article Duckie…did you see Obama’s own words regarding right wing terrorists…and Christians? He basically made a not so veiled threat to put down anything he saw as “insurrection” against him.

    • Rockledge says:

      Why else the DHS?
It should be protecting our borders; instead it’s patrolling your town and my city -looking for insurrectonists.
Thus far, the Tea Party has kept its head -despite repeated provocations.

      • PJRodman says:

Well, it turns out the article citing an AP reporter may be bogus…but, the same talking points have been spread by the left all along. And you’re right. DHS is targeting us, not terrorists.

    • Jim McCormack says:

ONe thing for sure, he won’t be leading the charge.

    • Thanks P. Yeah, he’s always had a soft spot for the brotherhood, and a contempt for the bitter clingin’ Americans.

  5. ADRoberts says:

Would you consider this. The vast majority who label Tea Party people as terrorists are looking at what the Tea Party advocates. And THAT is a threat to their welfare checks. That would include those on Section 8, Food stamps, government grants, government grants for research, federal funds given to states, counties, cities, corporate welfare, banks who want more bailout money………you get it.
To them, Tea Partiers terrify them. They KNOW that they are part of the bankrupting of our nation, but they simply don’t care as long as they can get ONE MORE CHECK.
To save the nation, cut ALL nonessential programs and spending. That would include foreign aid, EPA, IRS, NPR, ties to the USPS, Dept. of Education, Obamacare, and DHS ….. etc.
And to top it off, cut the budgets of the remaining government agencies by 40%. Tell the heads of each department that if they can’t make it work, they will be put to the street and someone else will do the job. Any g employee who does not increase production will be immediately replaced.
Then sustantial reduce the actions of the NSA
You get the idea. CUT the government. Will it hurt. You bet. In fact, all those useless people on the street, without checks will dash the economy for a while. But when the deficit starts to be reduced, businesses will start hiring, people will start spending and we will go back to prosperity.

    • ADRoberts says:

Logic: When half of the people draw their living from the government, the OTHER half have to provide THAT money. Since the half that work DON’T make twice as much as those on the dole, IT ISN’T GOING TO WORK.
Next. when you print money that is not backed up with goods or things of value, the worth of the paper money goes down. Then the whole nation loses. Eventually people start to realize that the paper you want to give them in exchange for goods is worthless. They won’t accept it. You are shafted, no matter whether you are a worker or a government leach.
Folks, Bilderbergs are determined to bring us down.

  6. Jim McCormack says:

It was sickening to hear Obama call the Tea Party the Number one terrorist group in the US. I watched Americans die in Korea for their freedom. Now this pip squeak calls me a terrorist ? Muslims have killed Hundreds of our citizens in THIS COUNTRY. The latest at the Boston Marathon. Tea party people left the Washington Mall spotless after the largest gathering ever witnessed in that city. Obama followers left the Mall knee-deep in trash after both inaugurations. The OWS people who were encouraged by Pelosi crapped on sidewalks and worse. Trashy, lawless hoodlums. Liberals hate Godliness and straight, honest people , and have bought their votes with the Labor of working folks. Without the votes of the freeloaders, there’d be no dems in Congress .

  7. RichFromShowMe says:

It’s the Red-White-and-Blue and overt Patriotism . . the Left simply doesn’t understand what being an American “is” . . . . . . uh-oh, that’s the same pesky “is” willy Clinton used to confuse the Senate.

  8. Rockledge says:

I’m compelled to ask: Why you are NOT a Tea Party member.
Perhaps you’re concerned ab. being on THE LIST. but I, a certified geezer, am PROUD to show my colors- Red, White & Blue.

    • Oh trust me, I’ve most likely got red flags all over my file. There’s a few reasons. I always have supported what the Tea Party stands for, but circumstances have kept me from being able to go to any of the events. I do have another group which began after the last election which has taken up much of my time. Working in the same direction. I may not be a citizen yet, but I’m proud to show my Red, White and Blue as well :)

    • PJRodman says:

You should check out The Constitutional Freedom Party’s platform. It is Tea Party principles all the way. It should also give you a pretty good idea just how Red, White and True Blue the author is.

    • StandingGround says:

I understand if your question was attached to curiosity but wondered if you had ever seen all the successful, patriotic things Carolyn has started herself? She is very supportive of Tea Parties as far as I can tell and I’ve been following her for quite some time.

      Check this out for starters:

    • Wolfie says:

There is no one unified Tea Party for anyone to join. Suggesting that you have to be in the Tea Party to support it is like suggesting you have to join the army before you can support the Military. Most of the people at Tea Party gatherings are NOT registered members, but get the updates to when and where to show up. I’d write more, but I don’t have time now.

Every situation has it’s boiling point or point of no return. I predict that by the end of the year, we as a people and a nation will have reached that point.

I’m not advocating social unrest or upheaval. Quite the opposite. Take to the polls, vote out the insurgents and traitors in the senate and the house. Next, do the same in the white house.

The ONLY way to do this without bloodshed is by the laws we have.
Now, having said that. Who of you believe that this will all end peacefully? Who of you believe that once again the protection and and defense our our society does not come without cost? Remember the tree of liberty?

Try to remember that when the military is roaming your local neighborhood and 15,000 requested Russian troops have boots on the ground (as requested by pelosi) that life as we know it willl either be won on the streets of Main St. U.S.A. or gone forever…

God bless us, one and all.

    • Thank you for your Service.
Well said. I agree, I don’t want to see an Egyptian style mess here, but that’s where the wisdom of our Founders and trust in God come in.

      • SFCUSARMYRET says:

I too am an AMERICAN born in Canada. I was raised to respect my “new country”. Follow it’s priciples and it’s laws. When I grew older, I did my best to repay it’s generosity by serving in the military. I also served 3 years as a LEO.

Unlike this usurper in the white house. I came here legally. I paid my dues. I didn’t go to college on a foreign student visa and or grants. I did community college at night while working during the day.

My family NEVER collected welfare or food stamps. My parents would have been mortified to do so! Besides, mum could make a hundred delicious different meals out of ground beef. We didn’t buy baked goods. Mum made all our cakes and pastries and desserts from scratch.
The days of independant thinking and self reliance is pretty much all but gone. Disposible everything and fast food everything (convenience) has overcome the human need to sustain. When the market shelves are bare, when milk costs $12 a gallon, when bakeries no longer make bread, I have my parents to thank for showing me how to make the best of a bad situation and survive.

        • Awesome. I remember my mom drove me nuts doing a lot of home made stuff, and stuff she saved instead of buying new. Now that I’m older (wiser?! lol) I understand why she did even though my dad had a great job. I’m glad that I picked up a lot of her habits because these past 4 years have been tough ones and I have learned and remembered how many ways to stretch a chicken or a pound of ground beef.
I admit I still like store bought stuff once in a while, but I’m grateful that I’m able to do a lot of things the old fashioned way. Too many times my family has had to depend on it.
Thank you for sharing that! It’s brought back some good memories for me too! :)

    • BACFA says:

They’re skilled at releasing just a little pressure when there is pushback…like this ‘ooops lets give businesses another year’ to punt the pain down a little further. Their goal is to wreak as much havoc as possible, and build that pressure so they can either…a) swoop in to save the day b) blame the inevitable destruction on the opposition c) let it collapse under GOP hands during a correction

This level of corruption and mastery is no accident. Every vein and artery of the federal government has been poisoned with the empire virus.

    • Ivy's Corner says:

Just remember, EVERYONE who has ever been in the military, Law enforcement or other public service jobs has sworn an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States. THIS OATH NEVER EXPIRES! EVERYONE who has ever taken that oath is duty bound to obey it! IF a law – or Presidential edict says to disobey the oath, IT IS ILLEGAL AND CANNOT BE FOLLOWED without breaking the oath! (MOST of the Senators and Congresspeople have broken that oath many times!) IF the Prez says, “Give us your guns”, you can’t do it without breaking your oath! There will be blood in the streets – and homes – of America because many will NOT give up their weapons! Will you?

  10. reggiec says:

I imagine the TEA Party IS terrifying for the far left supporters of Obama. They fear being taken off one or more of the government hand out programs that support them. It must be terrifying to realize that you might have to become responsible for the support of yourself and children after years of dependence on government assistance.

  11. got243kids says:

There is no question that we terrify So-Com-Marx-Progs or “they” for short.

From 2006 – 2010 it is they that controlled the purse therefore they controlled the narrative. It is their propaganda that is so terrifying to us. It was imperative that the patriotism rebirth caused by 911 be squashed… now they are petrified of it’s rise again.

The current POSOTUS is the polar opposite of George Washington and, I believe, a gift from God. He is the very threat the constitution was written to stop. They should be very afraid of Americans… What we are hearing are the squeals from a trapped, nervous and exposed anti-American beast.

Carving this cancer out of the entrenched bureaucracies is the challenge of our day.

    • “If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.” Thomas Paine

      • dHb says:

Good quote Carolyn. What an extraordinarily brilliant patriot and founding father Thomas Paine was. More people should read his essay “Common Sense” which is credited by many as the catalyst that helped commit many doubting Americans to the need for separation from England and to support the revolution. His “Rights of Man” is very appropriate reading for the world today and his “The Age of Reason” is a masterpiece against the mythology and superstition of religion. As he said, “God gave us reason, not religion”.

  12. don says:

Did you only ask the Liberal Democrats or did you talk with conservatives also but the way you have told us about the tea party I don’t think you talked to anyone but the Radical Liberal Terrorists.

  13. Liked and linked at Blogspot.

  14. wrongheifer says:

Love the Politichicks! Thanks and SHARING!

  15. BACFA says:

The #TeaParty threatens the leech class’ very way of life. Of course their simpleton logic can be terrorfied by this. These are same people that believe voting is a Constitutional right but owning a firearm is not.

  16. Krazeehors says:

Tea Party Member and proud of it!!!

  17. George Gaither says:

Communism at work, we know who the terrorist are.

  18. blair152 says:

I agree with Rick Perry. Cut Congress’ pay and send them home. As a conservative, and a Republican, I believe that Congress should be able to live on $50,400 dollars a year just like the rest of us. No gold-plated, Cadillac plans for members of Congress. This isn’t what the Founding Fathers intended. The Founding Fathers intended government service to be a hardship. I’ll go even further than Rick Perry. Cut the congressional session. That’s right. Have Congress meet in Washington once every two years. That’s right. Make Congress meet biennially.

  19. cantonst says:

President Obama and Democrats (not liberal Democrats, not conservative Democrats, but Democrats) are the biggest threat, terrorist or otherwise, to the United States.

  20. JeremiahtpoG says:

This is what totalitarians do,they use propaganda to call any opposition enemies of the state, to refer to American patriots and ordinary citizens as terrorists is vile, this is the picture this paints Obama, the Democrat party, and their propaganda press as the same one that every dictator has used to enslave people throughout history

  21. mtman2 says:

Yes but a threat as to what? Dems losing ideological power in the political arena?

They’re really afraid of what WE really believe in as the true source, purpose and Hope of America, as FOUNDED BY FAR WISER PEOPLE THAN THEM OR US only WE know and care about it + they foolishly think they hate it.

I and many others believe the Wisdom of the Founders is actually unknown in its fullness to the effect that it’s lost to a real connection with most who think they “fear” the TEA Party!

They are made lo-info’s just for this reason, from ‘Head-start, nursery school, daycare, kindergarten, grade school, Jr + Sr High and -all ‘cool-edge’ + graduate levels. Told their parents are dumb, Christians are stupid losers, the Founders were old rich slave-owning white guys “like what could they know” compared to UR sharp lesbian teacher, PC administrators or Alinskiite profs?!

It’s like the Gospel, “And how will they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10

  22. rabrooks says:

Just like in “Brave New World”. The fed has changed the language, then restarted the conversation using only their ideology. Like “Duck-speak”, they have reversed the meanings of words/terms. The religious right are now “radicals”, with homo’s, islamic fascistics are known as freedom-fighters. Abortionists, are women’s rights, pro-lifer’s are anti-women’s healthcare. Why are we now forced to take responsibility for some college girls’ sexual activity. The act of counterfeiting is now called “quantitative easing”. We should save more, with interests rates at or below 0%. But the most dangerous part, is/are the “Patriot” and endless”Acts” HR1955 & HR3163 that are presented as devices to protect us, when all they do is put us under deeper scrutiny. It’s all upside down, especially when the DOJ & DOD view the newly returned Vets, whom have been under fire in distant lands, simply as the most dangerous and the most easily “radicalized” persons who need to be monitored closely. That hurts!

  23. SamIamtwo says:

    Tea Party Terrorists. LMAO.

Lies and fools who believe the lies. Get your cortex straighten out.

Obama the most divisive President evar!!

  24. msgirl says:

This is exactly how effective propaganda works when the news media is run by a corrupt government. That’s what we have come to in this country. I hold little hope now.

  25. mperkins2 says:

As an American I’m getting tired of people calling us terrorist just because we want a better future for our families and our country. I have been called a “Christian Terrorist” simply because I disagreed in a post about homosexual marriage. If you ask me all those who speak against people because they want a better life and a better country are the true terrorist. Also, those in the government who say these things about certain groups, such as the Tea Party, are terrorists themselves. I say that because their remarks and comments do nothing but cause division among the American people. It seems like they want to stir up peoples emotions until they reach the boiling point and incite conflict among our citizens. I’m sure they would like to see some type of uprising among us so they can enact Martial Law and keep our Muslim Brotherhood President in office from now on. Our governments job is to pull us all together as one people, not separate us into certain groups of race, religion, or creed. We need to stop this PC crap, and things like African American, Spanish American, or what ever groups name you want to put before American. To me that is the most racist thing that can be done to pigeon hole us into separate groups. Whether you were born here or legally immigrated here because you love what the ideal of America stands for we are all Americans, period. As I said the biggest pusher of terrorist activity comes from the mouths of those in power. That is why it is time to remove all of those who push this agenda from office and get some with fresh ideas on how to pull this country together and get this country back on the right path as laid out in our Constitution by the Founding Fathers. As long as the Muslim Brotherhood has representatives in our White House and our government there will always be terror on the streets of America. Our government will nether say or do anything against them because they might “offend” them. I say it is better to offend them than see the un-necessary deaths of any more of our citizens.

  26. poljunkie says:

    Another good one ABiC.
    Rock on Gurl.

  27. PhilJourdan says:

That is why there are 4 dead in Benghazi and hundreds wounded and dead in Boston. Apparently words are more of a threat to liberals than violence.

  28. £ib~$£@Y€® says:

Even text books used in public schools have painted the Boston teaparty as an act of terror. We have chosen to homeschooling as well using A.C.E. curriculum. The government is scared of anything it can’t control and the brainwashed masses continue to believe the lies they are told

  29. blair152 says:

If the Tea Party was a terrorist organization, you’d be seeing IEDs and suicide bombers outside the IRS.
